Each session is thoughtfully guided to create natural, relaxed imagery that feels authentic and timeless, whether photographed in the studio or at a beautiful outdoor location.
The Family Experience
Family sessions are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, allowing your family’s natural connection to shine. From wardrobe guidance to location selection and gentle posing direction, every detail is thoughtfully planned so you feel comfortable and confident throughout your session.
Sessions may take place in the studio, outdoors, or both, and outfit changes are always encouraged for added variety.

Why Printed Art Matters

That’s why I offer curated collections that include both professionally retouched digital images and museum-quality printed artwork. The art we create together is crafted to be displayed, shared, and passed down for generations.
All printed products are sourced from professional labs using archival materials to ensure your images last a lifetime.

My Process
1. RESERVE YOUR SESSION
Once you decide to move forward, we’ll reserve a date on the calendar with a signed agreement and session fee. At this time you’ll also receive a planning guide to help prepare for your session.
2. PLANNING & PREPARATION
Together we’ll choose the perfect location for your family — whether that’s the studio, a beautiful outdoor setting, or a combination of both. I’ll also guide you through wardrobe selection so everyone looks coordinated while still feeling like themselves.
3. YOUR family SESSION
Sessions are relaxed and guided to help everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I gently direct posing while leaving space for natural interactions, laughter, and connection. These in-between moments often become the most meaningful images.
4. IMAGE REVEAL & ORDERING
After your session, your images will be carefully edited and presented in person. You may select your favorite images and artwork for your home, and we will also discuss edits and retouching of your selected images.
5. Enjoy your photographs
Once selections are complete, your images will be delivered digitally and any artwork you choose will be professionally produced so your photographs can be enjoyed for years to come.
FAQ
What should we wear?
Neutral tones and soft textures photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family’s connection. I provide a styling guide after booking to help make outfit planning simple.
What if my children don’t cooperate?
This is completely normal — and honestly expected. My sessions are designed to be relaxed and playful so children can move, explore, and be themselves. Some of the best images come from those natural moments.
Where will our session take place?
Family sessions may take place in the studio, outdoors, or both depending on the look you prefer. I’m happy to recommend beautiful locations throughout North County.
How many images will I see?
You can expect to view approximately 60–100 carefully edited images in your gallery depending on the session flow and variety.
