Newborn Workshop
6 - Hour Workshop with Two Newborns
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create stunning newborn portraits using both natural light for lifestyle sessions and studio lighting for posed setups. We’ll cover everything from preparing parents and setting up props to camera settings, lighting direction, wrapping techniques, and newborn posing with family and props. You’ll also learn a structured, baby-led workflow to keep the newborn comfortable throughout the session. Post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop will be covered, along with essential tools for flawless retouching. While attendees can photograph and edit their own images, only the instructor will handle and pose the newborn to ensure safety and proper technique. This workshop is perfect for photographers looking to refine their skills and build confidence in newborn photography.

Workflow Workshops
Lightroom Workshop
Learn how to edit and organize in Adobe Lightroom in this hands-on workshop. We will start by covering the basics, including importing, organizing, color correction, and skin tone adjustments. We will demonstrate how to import presets, create our own import presets, develop presets, create local mask presets, and export presets. Then, we’ll move into more detailed retouching, including removing blemishes and objects. We will review all the various mask options available. You’ll also learn how to sync settings with one or all images. This workshop is ideal for photographers seeking to streamline their editing process and enhance their portraits with straightforward, effective techniques
Photoshop Workshop
Learn how to edit like a pro in Adobe Lightroom in this hands-on workshop. We will demonstrate how to create actions and edit with non-destructive masks. Then, we’ll move into more detailed retouching, including head swaps and AI. This workshop is ideal for photographers seeking to advance their editing process and enhance their portraits, where Lightroom and AI can't quite get it right.
Studio Strobe Workshop
Master studio lighting with confidence in this hands-on Strobe Studio Lighting Workshop held at The Studio Bonsall. In this 2-hour interactive class, you’ll learn how to properly set up, meter, and control studio strobes for consistent, professional results. We’ll cover light modifiers, posing with light, balancing highlights and shadows, and creating multiple looks with a single setup. You’ll work with a live model so you can practice in real time and walk away with both knowledge and portfolio-worthy images. Night Photography:
Step into the magic of the night as we capture star trails, the Milky Way, and meteor showers, and even do some light painting under pristine skies. From camera settings and gear tips to stacking and post-processing, I’ll help you master the technical and artistic sides of photographing the night sky.
Each workshop is thoughtfully paced, small in group size, and infused with a mix of exploration, education, and inspiration. You’ll leave with new skills, epic photos, and maybe a few bug bites (worth it).
